The African Intercontinental Commission on Trade, Policy, and Investment aims to increase exports, especially of the services and products that add value and contribute to the green economy and employment. The target companies are Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprises (SMMEs), both generally and drawn from the ranks of the formerly disadvantaged, nonetheless deliberating the desires of larger established and potential exporters.
The African Intercontinental Commission on Trade, Policy, and Investment supports businesses in expanding their reach by offering Export Development programs that include training, resources, and market entry assistance.

Export Accelerator
This service is co-designed with the partner organization, and every implementation is unique. It presents a structure to facilitate technical support to MSMEs and builds on the business support company’s existing portfolio and the requirements of local companies. The service contains technical solutions and a methodological approach to cater to the requirements of three different types of internationalizing MSMEs: export-ready establishments, export-aspiring establishments, and export-proficient establishments.
Direct Assistance to Companies
AICTPI offers a clear identification of target market requirements and an assessment of your company to recognize the requirements and challenges you face while attempting to enter a new international market. An improvement plan is then advised for your business according to this information and may also include numerous solutions addressing your managerial, strategic, and operational desires.

Export Development Programs
Our Export Development Programs aims to expand and generate export-ready small companies that are internationally competitive and capable of growing African markets at the international scale. The Programs is designed to help small businesses in Africa, gather and apply practical skills in increasing their export abilities.

Assessment
Export-Readiness Assessment
An assessment is conducted on the interested companies to determine their export readiness and assist AICTPI in providing the assessed company with relevant interventions to become an exporter.
Workshops
International Trade Workshops
We provide an international market and business linkages workshop with embassy representatives on the profile of African markets and other market access levels.
Training
Various pieces of training are provided such as Export Awareness Seminars, Export Orientation Programs, Pre and Post Exhibition Training to assist exhibitors with any inquiries and challenges experienced at an exhibition, assistance to small exporters for guidance to trading in Africa, and sector-specific training focusing on industry regulations as and when necessary.

Client Selection Criteria
AICTPI’s screening tool, which is utilized by the branches for Export Development Programs participation for its participating companies, assists the Business Advisor in selecting a potential or emerging exporter for the following criteria:
- Products and services should have a role or competitive edge
- A market match must exist for the product and services
- Companies should be ready to broaden an export market
- Enterprises must have access to finance
- Businesses need to have internal capacity for supplementary markets
- Business Advisors should recommend participation on the basis of their experience and assessments
